What's Rochester like?
It's a great first city to get aquainted with. It's just the right size for someone starting out. The job market is getting more and more sparse, but it's a good city to learn the ropes with and how to live on your own.

What's the best first step to meeting people and finding your way around?
Get involved. Join a gym. Do volunteer work. Meeting collegues and network.

Any other thoughts/advice?
You'll never meet anyone staying home. Join clubs/organizations. Be willing to try new things.
